◆ Profile
Originally, as a hardware engineer, he designed several circuits and wrote many magazines specializing in electrical systems and microcomputers. After that, he met the embedded real-time OS OS-9 and was involved in the development of embedded systems for more than a quarter of a century. I have experience with both hardware and software, but I have more experience with software.
With the know-how cultivated over many years, he will give lectures on embedded software at Waseda University, Tokyo Institute of Technology, and Ritsumeikan University as a visiting lecturer for more than 10 years. Currently, he is involved in engineer training for new employees at JTEC Co., Ltd.
Deputy Executive Committee Chairman of “ET Exhibition / IoT Technology Exhibition” where the championship tournament is held.

◆ Seminar content: “Basics
of sensors and actuators required for mechanical control ” Learn the basics of sensors and actuators required for mechanical control of robots and the like. Lectures will be given on the types and outlines of typical sensors and actuators, A / D converters, D / A converter mechanisms, and motor control mechanisms. After that, we will actually use Arduino to blink the LED, read various sensor values, and move the servo. In addition, we will also demonstrate ESP-WROOM-02, which allows you to easily use WiFi.

What is “ET Robocon”? (ET Software Design Robot Contest Nicknamed ET Robocon)

Under the theme of industrial education in the extremely important “embedded system” field, which is indispensable for Japan’s industrial competitiveness, we have developed competitions, products and services that autonomously run on the course determined by the body of LEGO® Mindstorms®. There are two divisional competitions to be shown. It is a robot competition that competes for open participation type software including corporate engineers, and is held in cooperation with each corporate organization. It started as a UML robot contest in 2002, changed its nickname to ET Robocon in 2005, and will be held for the 18th time in total this year.
In this competition, which holds regional competitions in 12 districts nationwide, where high school students and working adults compete for software design content and skills, we will continue to incorporate elements such as AI and cameras to create opportunities to challenge new technologies. In addition, we are planning a competition format that makes it easier to participate while maintaining the educational effects obtained with ET Robocon.
