The robotics industry is making its way onto the service of the elderly.

Stevie, Paro, and Pillo are names that are about to be well-known as the first ever artificial intelligence deployed in homes to tend to old people’s needs.

“Robotics has the potential to play a huge role in elder care facilities and hospitals to enable people to do more with less,” says Conor McGinn, a roboticist and assistant professor at Trinity College Dublin.

Showing up at assisted living homes are a step beyond the usual appearance at hotels, airports, and shopping malls.
