Terra Drone Co., Ltd. (Shibuya-ku, Tokyo, CEO / Toru Tokushige, hereinafter Terra Drone) has completed its investment in RoNik Inspectioneering BV (Netherlands, hereinafter RoNik), which provides drone inspection services in the Netherlands. Has changed.
RoNik, which established a local subsidiary with Terra Drone this time, has been providing services centered on inspection and maintenance of oil & gas storage tanks including plate thickness inspection for many years, and 200 cases mainly by major European oil & gas companies. We have the above achievements. (Click here for a video about the inspection process: https://vimeo.com/290357142 ) Furthermore, we have responded to the needs of a wide range of customers by using not only drones but also ground and water inspection robots. In April of this year, he was selected as one of the top drone companies in Europe at the Drone Hero Europe 2019 contest held in Amsterdam, the Netherlands.
By utilizing the company’s drone for tank inspection, the time required for assembling and removing temporary scaffolding, which was conventionally required for work at high places, will be reduced, and the inspection period will be shortened by 40 to 60%. Therefore, it is possible to reduce labor costs and loss due to facility shutdown during inspection.
The weight of the aircraft used is about 2.5 kg for safe flight. It is equipped with a Dutch patented contact catalyst (kaplant) dispenser, which allows the probe to be supplied with kaplant even during flight, enabling efficient inspection. In addition, three high-precision cameras are installed, and you can immediately check the image from the drone in flight and the UT graph from the ground. As a deliverable, we also provide inspection reports conforming to standards such as API-653 and EEMUA 159, and 3D model inspection data through cloud services.
Currently, in the oil and gas industry in Japan and overseas, the use of digital technology is rapidly advancing for the purpose of improving plant utilization rate. Through our global network of more than 25 countries, we will provide RoNik’s non-destructive inspection technology and other UAV digital solutions worldwide.
